Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ?s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

二、职业道德方面

严格履行中小学教师职业道德规范，为人师表，严格遵守岗位制度，严格恪守人民教师的职业道德，积极参加公益事业。我有一颗热爱教育的心，我明白教师的苦与累，平凡与无私。虽然没有鲜花陪伴，没有掌声共鸣，没有丰厚的收入，没有豪华的享受，有的只是生活的忙碌，有的只是肩头沉甸甸的责任，但我无悔于自己的选择。我会用自己的汗水、智慧、和一颗跳动的火热的心，去面对我的学生。

1、胜任英语教学工作，无论在统考中还是在学校组织的各项考试中我所任教班级的英语成绩都能名列前茅；先后两次参加了安阳市组织的英语公开课比赛，并且都取得了好成绩，受到同行们的好评。所以我有较强的工作能力，能够始终保持作为教师的言行和风度，塌实教学，关爱学生，完全具备了对课堂的教学组织能力，对教材整体驾驭能力和对学生掌握知识程度的判断分析能力。

如果我能够竞聘上这个岗位，我打算从以下几个方面改进自已的教学工作，提高自已的教学水平。

a、更加科学规范地做好日常教学工作，认真落实教学常规工作，确保教学质量稳中有升。做一个学习型的教师。在工作中不断完善自我，充实自我；拓宽自己的知识面，早日使自己的教学再上一个新的台阶。

b、顺应教学改革方向，积极参加教学改革，做教育教学的有心人。以人为本，因材施教，根据不同学生的不同特点，采取不同的教学方法；关注全体，关注差异，教他们学会学习，学会做人。根据英语学科的特点，我打算开展“任务型教学”实验活动，把学习者个人的生活经历作为课堂学习的主要资源，力图将课堂内的语言学习与课堂外的语言活动结合起来。每上一节课，我会突出“八个抓八个不”：

一、抓听讲集中，不能过于松散无束；

二、抓讨论合作的效果，不能流于教学形式；

三、抓发言与质量，不能让课堂死气沉沉；

四、抓作业书写规范与作业按时完成，不能轻易放纵学生；

五、抓自学指导与训练，不能让学生连读书都不会；

六、抓教学难点与重点，不能使教学走过程；

七、抓有意注意和无意注意，不能过张或过驰；

八、抓暂差生辅导与补差，结合学生自身实际情况做到因材施教，不能让他们失去学习的兴趣。

c、结合英语学科特点和学生实际情况，配合学校的校本教研，设计并开展丰富多采的英语实践活动，进一步拓展学生的视野，培养学生各方面能力。

d、加强个人修养，练好基本功。进一步树立自已强烈的事业心和责任感，加强自已的工作能力和工作艺术，顾全大局，维护学校良好形象，努力调动学生的学习积极性，提高教学质量，力争在教学中体现实力，在工作中保持动力，在学生和老师的交往中凝聚合力。

我有信心有决心搞好英语教学工作，为教育事业奉献自已的一份光和热。如果组织上需要我做其它工作，不管这份工作是否高低贵贱轻重多寡，我都会忠于职守，严于律已，夯实基础，钻研业务，团结协作，虚心向老教师取经，向老教师求教，与时俱进，把服务学生服务老师的工作做好，牢牢坚守在自已的岗位上，做一颗永不生绣的螺丝钉。

Well, it's not all that bad. I was adopted.I grew up in rural Uganda, lost both my parents when I was very, very young.And when my parents passed, I experienced all the negative effects of poverty,from homelessness, eating out of trash piles, you name it.

But my life changed when I got acceptedinto an orphanage. Through one of those sponsor-an-orphan programs, I wassponsored and given an opportunity to acquire an education. I started off inUganda. I went through school, and the way this particular program worked, youfinished high school and after high school, you go learn a trade -- to become acarpenter, a mechanic or something along those lines.

I did one of the -- you know, anythinganyone could do in that situation: look around, see what everyone else isdoing. I did the same. Mind you, I drove about seven hours from my village tothe airport that day. So I grab this warm towel, wipe my face just likeeveryone else is doing, I look at it -- damn.

Andit was also the first time I got immersed into a new and different culture.These strangers showed me true love. These strangers showed me that I mattered,that my dreams mattered.Thank you.

And that created a little bit of jealousy with their children.So, if you're a parent in this room, and you have those teenager children whodon't want anything to do with your love and affection -- in fact, they find itrepulsive -- I got a solution: adopt a child.

We live in a world filled with hate: building walls, Brexit, xenophobiahere on the African continent. Multiculturalism can be an answer to many ofthese worst human qualities.

My father is 36 years old. He’s tall and keeps his shape well. He has a long face. On the long face, there is a pair of eyes with brimming vigor. Just because of this pair of eyes, he can tell the right from wrong. Between the two eyes, there is a straight nose. Under the nose, there is a mouth with slightly raised corners. With these well-shaped corners of mouth, he always looks like smiling even when he is angry. He is so kind.

At that time the temple is very crowded, but most other times it's quite peaceful, and it's a good place to get away from all the people.

I think the reason it's so beautiful is because it is simple and it seems to blend in well with its environment. The small praying hall is very serene. It has a nice pool and a bridge. The Taoist motifs are quite simple but I think they are very charming. I love to go there during the winter after a big snowfall because it's at this time that it seems to be most mysterious. I choose this as the most beautiful because, to me, beauty is simplicity and natural design, and it also means it fits the environment it is in. I don't really like grand, elaborate temples. It was always on hisconscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decidedto put right his childish error. In 20__, he visited Qingdao and returned it tothe Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.

When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported onhis visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I thinkto err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correctone’s error.

now, i tell you this story about summer camp. i could have told you 50 others just like it -- all the times that i got the message that somehow my quiet and introverted style of being was not necessarily the right way to go, that i should be trying to pass as more of an extrovert. and i always sensed deep down that this was wrong and that introverts were pretty excellent just as they were. but for years i denied this intuition, and so i became a wall street lawyer, of all things, instead of the writer that i had always longed to be -- partly because i needed to prove to myself that i could be bold and assertive too. and i was always going off to crowded bars when i really would have preferred to just have a nice dinner with friends. and i made these self-negating choices so reflexively, that i wasn't even aware that i was making them.

now this is what many introverts do, and it's our loss for sure, but it is also our colleagues' loss and our communities' loss. and at the risk of sounding grandiose, it is the world's loss. because when it comes to creativity and to leadership, we need introverts doing what they do best. a third to a half of the population are introverts -- a third to a half. so that's one out of every two or three people you know. so even if you're an extrovert yourself, i'm talking about your coworkers and your spouses and your children and the person sitting next to you right now -- all of them subject to this bias that is pretty deep and real in our society. we all internalize it from a very early age without even having a language for what we're doing.

now to see the bias clearly you need to understand what introversion is. it's different from being shy. shyness is about fear of social judgment. introversion is more about, how do you respond to stimulation, including social stimulation. so extroverts really crave large amounts of stimulation, whereas introverts feel at their most alive and their most switched-on and their most capable when they're in quieter, more low-key environments. not all the time -- these things aren't absolute -- but a lot of the time. so the key then to maximizing our talents is for us all to put ourselves in the zone of stimulation that is right for us.
